Overview

This comprehensive online course is a package, which consists of the below 3 courses for one student.

R0380PG - UL Proficient Service Training Fundamentals Web
R0428PG – UL Equipment Quality Check Online

The Ultrasound Product Service Introductory Training Package (Online) is a comprehensive online course, including three, otherwise individually available courses, embedded to one package. One student will be provided access and enrollment to courses on Ultrasound Fundamentals, Ultrasound Equipment Quality Checks, and Networking and Dicom. Training is nonrefundable and must be taken within 24 months of purchase. Unused training at the end of 24 months is forfeited without refund.

Agenda for course: This course offers foundational skills and knowledge to provide general service to GE HealthCare Ultrasound systems, with guidance through several concepts including, but not limited to, the physics of Ultrasound, maintaining GE HealthCare Ultrasound systems, theory of networking, scan control and modes, basics on probes, routers and switches, wireless network operation and DICOM connectivity. The online courses are designed in a tutorial-like format, guiding the learner through the processes being presented in the computer-based lessons and instructional videos. Upon completion of this package, the student should be able to (*objectives are relevant ONLY when paired with a product-specific training, available as a separate purchase.).

Objectives: Accurately and safely perform maintenance activities associated with GE HealthCare’s Equipment Quality Check (EQC) procedure. Establish Network and DICOM connectivity with GE HealthCare Ultrasound systems. Define basic network parameters and devices. Provide high-level troubleshooting of network and DICOM related issues. *Provide basic hardware and software troubleshooting of GE HealthCare Ultrasound systems. *Describe the names and functions of primary hardware components on a given GE HealthCare Ultrasound system. Duration: Total for all 3 courses is 12 hours

Technical Training

Registration:
• All training must be taken within 18 months of purchase.

Attendance:
• Class start and end times vary. Please refer to email enrollment notification.
• Participants are required to arrive on time for class.
• A "no show" is not eligible for reimbursement.
• In order to receive certificate of completion for a course:
o Participants must attend the class in its entirety; missing a day will disqualify you from receiving full credit
o Participants must pass the assessment administered at the end of the course

Cancellations:
Please carefully review our cancellation policy and how it applies to your cancellation. Should you wish to cancel your registration, we enforce a time sensitive policy. As you can appreciate, a cancelation with less than four weeks’ notice makes it very difficult for another student to plan on attending. If there is someone else in your organization that would like to attend in your place – this fee will not be charged. The cancelation policy is outlined below:
• Cancellations can be made by email to Ed.services@gehealthcare.com
• GE HealthCare may offer technical service training at GE HealthCare’s Institute, on-site at Customer’s facility, via virtual instructor-led trainings, or via online self-paced courses.
• Customer is responsible for registering for trainings conducted at GE HealthCare’s Institute and for virtual instructor-led trainings hosted through GE HealthCare’s Institute. Scheduled trainings at or hosted through GE HealthCare’s Institute that are cancelled or rescheduled by Customer:
(i) more than 4 weeks prior to the training start date, will result in no cancellation fee
(ii) up to 2 weeks prior to the training start date, will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the training price
(iii) less than 2 weeks prior to the training start date and for no-shows (i.e., registered students who do not attend the training and do not cancel in advance of the training start date), will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the training price.
• On-site trainings at Customer’s facility and virtual instructor-led trainings developed specifically for Customer will be scheduled by Customer and GE HealthCare on mutually agreed upon dates. Scheduled on-site trainings at Customer’s facility and virtual instructor-led trainings developed specifically for Customer that are cancelled or rescheduled by Customer will result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the training price, and Customer agrees to reimburse GE HealthCare for GE HealthCare’s incurred travel charges and expenses.
• Online self-paced courses cannot be cancelled or changed once access to the course has been granted to Customer.
• Trainings are subject to availability. GE HealthCare may cancel or reschedule trainings at any time. Certain licenses and/or applications may be required to attend technical service trainings and/or use technical service packages. Please contact GE Healthcare for more information.

Low Enrollment:
• GE reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment.
• Classes with low enrollment 15 business days prior to the scheduled date will be cancelled.
• When GE cancels a class, tuition will be refunded in full, or may be applied to the cost of another class scheduled to take place within 12 months of the original class.
